ABOUT THE DAF SALON /

The DAF Salons are a series of small gatherings that convene donors with thought leaders to explore how to direct investments from donor-advised funds to amplify giving.

Previous DAF Salons have featured conversations with leadership from The Philanthropic Initiative, CapShift, ImpactAssets, Realize Impact, #HalfMyDAF, Mission Driven Finance, and Morrison & Foerster. We hope you can join our next conversation.

People don't often think of DAFs as being nimble capital. Our next conversation is with Susan Laidlaw, who works with family offices at Fidelity Charitable, and their donor Don Kania.

Don and his family have a longtime relationship with a local non-profit. They learned that the non-profit had a funding gap that was compounded by covid. If they were going to help, they needed to deploy capital for a very specific purpose and they needed to do it fast.

Join us, as you hear how he was able to use his DAF to make the investment and the surprising twist that came after.
